I love any excuse to channel some main character energy from my favorite Y2K movies, and when I found out the actual diner that was used in A Cinderella Story was located in Long Beach, I knew I needed to go!

While the diner was painted a pretty shade of pink on the outside for the movie, the outside structure of the building has largely remained the same.

Unfortunately the diner was closed when we arrived (they’re open everyday until 2pm) but I took a peek inside and I couldn’t believe the resemblance!

I loved dressing up like Sam Montgomery in her diner outfit, but all that was missing was a pair of roller skates! Her look was fairly easy to recreate, with a black tee and houndstooth print pants for the base, and her signature pink apron to finish off the outfit. Styling my hair in this low bun took me back to my high school days when I’d wear my hair like this almost every single day!

To visit the diner for yourself, you can visit George’s 50’s Diner at 4390 Atlantic Ave, Long Beach, CA 90807. I am definitely going to need to make another trip back so I can try the food and see the interior!
