Did you know I spent a ton of time camping outside movie premieres back in my college days? One of the fun facts I love to share about myself is that I’ve met over 100 celebrities because of this! Sometimes it’s hard for me to believe that now I get to be a part of the party… talk about a dream come true!

Last month, I was lucky enough to be invited to the movie premiere for HBO Max’s Moonshot, starring Lana Condor and Cole Sprouse. As a big fan of them both, I immediately cleared my schedule and made sure I was there!

My bestie and I arrived to the event really early because I personally like to scout the place before the party starts. We were the first ones there but the staff was so welcoming and accommodating while we waited for clearance to enter.

Isn’t this photo op the cutest? It looked so much cuter once it got darker outside, the neon lights really popped!

There was a bunch of yummy food, drinks, and for dessert… nitrogen ice cream! It was so fun having it made fresh right in front of us. I had to of course go with my favorite flavor, chocolate!

Then it was time for the blue carpet arrivals! Cole Sprouse, who plays Walt in the film, was the first to get there and you know I ran right behind the paparazzi to get some photos and footage. By this point in the night, I was still deciding if I’d be brave enough to ask him for a photo, but spoiler alert: I did!

It was nice to see some other familiar faces I recognized, like Leah Lewis (from The Half of It), Alice Lee (from Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist), and Ramona Young (from Never Have I Ever). I loved seeing the Asian representation!

Then, Mason Gooding, who plays Calvin in the movie, arrived! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to talk to him or grab a photo with him.

I thought it was super sweet that Dylan Sprouse came to support his brother! I know I’m only a few years older than both of the Sprouse twins, but I sometimes forget that they’re all grown up now (and it makes me feel old).

And now, for the moment I had been waiting for… the queen has arrived! Lana Condor plays Sophie in the film and I was determined to meet her because I wanted to tell her how much she meant to me.

Everyone took some extra photos for the paparazzi and they all looked amazing! I still can’t believe I was this close to the blue carpet.

I was so nervous to go up to Lana, but she couldn’t have been any sweeter. I was absolutely starstruck and babbled my way through telling her thank you for representing the Asian community and that it was an honor to meet her. She was so kind and gracious and took a couple of photos with me. She was everything I imagined she would be and more!

I then mustered up the courage to go up to Cole and ask him for a quick photo. We didn’t really chat, but he was also super nice and I was so appreciative of his time!

Thank you again to Warner Bros. for inviting me and my bestie for a night out to watch Moonshot - we had a blast! Be sure to stream Moonshot, now available on HBO Max!
