Five Things You're Not Going to Want to Miss During Disneyland's 2024 Lunar New Year Celebration

Disney Parks invited me to the media preview for the Lunar New Year festivities at Disney California Adventure Park, and as a Chinese American, seeing my culture represented at the parks means so much to me! There are so many exciting offerings to check out this year, and I’ve got you covered with everything you need to see and do!

Special Character Meet & Greets
It’s the Year of the Dragon, so this year’s special character to meet at Paradise Gardens is Mushu! And for the very first time, you can meet Ming and Meilin Lee from Turning Red on San Francisco Street!

Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession
Don’t miss Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession which is always a highlight getting to see all of the amazing parade performers! Be sure to check the Disneyland app for showtimes.

Paradise Gardens Activities
Make your Lunar New Year wish at the Lucky Wishes Wall in Paradise Gardens! There, you’ll also be able to enjoy crafts, Chinese calligraphy, and yummy festival food!

Lunar New Year Special Food Offerings
Try the special food offerings at the Lunar New Year marketplaces with the Sip and Savor pass! It comes with six digital coupons that you can use towards food and non-alcoholic beverages from participating locations. To save time, you can preorder most items at one stall and then pick them up at their respective locations.

Hurry Home - A Lunar New Year Celebration
Catch “Hurry Home - A Lunar New Year Celebration” before “World of Color!” This beautiful water show tells the story of a little lantern’s quest to reunite with family for the annual celebration of good luck and fortune.

Be sure to check out the Lunar New Year Festivities at Disney California Adventure Park now through 2/18!

Huge thank you to Disneyland and Disney Parks for hosting us!
