"POTUS" at the Geffen Playhouse
Disclosure: Geffen Playhouse provided me with two complimentary tickets to see POTUS. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Geffen Playhouse invited me to their first preview of their latest production “POTUS” last night and it was such a great time with my friend Felicia! This hilarious show couldn’t be more relevant and timely, and I love all of the girl power in it!
About the show: A derogatory comment, a summit gone awry, an anal abscess - it’s a bad day at the White House. When the president unwittingly spins a PR nightmare into a global crisis, it inevitably falls on the seven women he relies on most to clean up the mess. Take a raucous romp through the halls of the West Wing in a riotous and irreverent farce about the men who hold the power vs. the women who get the job done.
Before the show, make sure to stop by the tables in the lobby to learn about some amazing women-founded/operated organizations and what they’re doing for our communities! Last night we met Iron Skirt Productions and Every Day Action!
Tickets start at $30 per person and the show is playing Wednesdays through Sundays at the Geffen Playhouse (10886 Le Conte Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90024) now through 2/25! The performance length is 1 hour and 50 minutes, including one intermission.
Rush tickets ($35 for general and $15 for student) for each day’s performance are made available to the general public one hour before showtime at the box office. Please note all Geffen Playhouse productions are intended for an adult audience and children under ten years of age will not be admitted.
Geffen Playhouse does not operate its own parking facility, but there are a few local parking structures nearby. I recommend parking at the Westwood Plaza (924 Westwood Blvd - entrance on Le Conte Ave) which is a $6 flat rate (Monday through Friday after 5pm and all day Saturday through Sunday) and a one minute walk from the theatre.
The entire cast is absolutely brilliant in each of their roles, and it was so lovely getting to meet Jane Levy after the show. Don’t miss your chance to catch this amazing play during its limited LA run!
Huge thank you to Geffen Playhouse for having us!
