"Company" Opening Night | Hollywood Pantages Theatre
Disclosure: Broadway in Hollywood & Hollywood Pantages Theatre provided me with two complimentary tickets to see Company. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Hollywood Pantages Theatre invited me to opening night of Company and it was a fun time with even better company! (See what I did there?)
I got to take my friend Bri with me who is one of the biggest theatre fans I know and I’m so happy we had a chance to finally hang out.
I always love seeing Daniel Franzese at theatre events these days, and it was also great running into Skylar Astin again while we were there!
About the show: It’s Bobbie’s 35th birthday party, and all her friends keep asking, Why isn’t she married? Why can’t she find the right man and isn’t it time to settle down and start a family? As Bobbie searches for answers, she discovers why being single, being married, and being alive in the 21st-century could drive a person crazy.
Ticket prices start at $54.75, and the show is playing Tuesdays through Sundays at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre (6233 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028) now through 8/18.
The performance length is 2 hours and 40 minutes including a 15 minute intermission. The show is recommended for ages 13 and up. (Children under 5 will not be admitted into the theatre.) Please note this production uses onstage smoke effects and haze.
Self-parking is available at the Eastown Garage (across the street from the Pantages) for $25. I recommend getting to the theatre at least 30-45 minutes before showtime!
I will admit the story itself was personally not one of my favorites, but I appreciated that there are many parts about it that are still very relatable and timely. The cast did an amazing job (I was very excited to see Britney Coleman perform again - she was incredible when I saw her on the Beetlejuice tour last year!) and I loved how dynamic the set design was! If you’re a fan of Sondheim’s work, I think you’ll enjoy the musical numbers in this one, and this is a show you’ll definitely have to check out!
Thank you so much to Hollywood Pantages Theatre and Broadway in Hollywood for having me!

Keshia
