The Five Best Sightseeing Spots You Won't Want to Miss in Sydney, Australia

G’day mate! My first impressions of Sydney as soon as we arrived was how clean the city is and how considerate the people are here! I also love how easy it is to get around the city whether by train or by the ferry. We lucked out with our hotel being in a central part of Sydney so getting to most of the big sightseeing spots is only a short walk or ride away! In this post, I’ll be sharing the five best must sees while in Sydney!

Sydney Opera House
Bennelong Point, Sydney NSW 2000

After seeing pictures of the Opera House for so many years, it was surreal finally getting to see it in real life! The architecture is absolutely stunning and bonus points if you can catch a show!

Sydney Harbour Bridge
Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney NSW

If you’re the adventurous type, you can climb the bridge for about $250 USD per person (you’ll need to make reservations in advance at bridgeclimb.com) or you can opt to walk the bridge for free like we did (it’s about a 15-30 min walk). You’ll also get great views of the Harbour!

Luna Park
1 Olympic Drive, Milsons Point NSW, 2061

Not going to lie, Luna Park kind of gives creepy abandoned amusement park vibes (Kevin also said it reminded him of Wonder Wharf in Bob’s Burgers), but there’s something about it that’s still vintage and charming. At the very least, you’ll get some great photo ops even if you don’t go on the rides!

Sydney Tower Eye
Westfield Sydney, Level 5/108 Market St, Sydney NSW 2000

This has the perfect observation deck for a 360° view of the city! Highly recommend checking it out around sunset if you can - seeing the city lights turn on is a magical experience!

Bondi Beach
Queen Elizabeth Dr, Bondi Beach NSW 2026

Bondi Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world, and it’s no wonder why because the sand is soft, the water is clear, and the views are gorgeous! It’s only a 40 min bus and train ride from the city and totally worth the trip over!

Which of these spots do you want to visit most? Let me know in the comments below!
