Attending the "Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul." Premiere

Earlier this week, I headed out to LA Live for the premiere of Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but as a fan of Sterling K. Brown, I was excited to see this film!

I arrived a few hours early, but unfortunately we were not able to see the red carpet arrivals. It was a huge bummer for me (especially because I love celebrity spotting), but sometimes you never know with these events. The space for the carpet was really tight, so I’m assuming that’s why we didn’t have access, but it is what it is - hopefully next time!

Once inside, I grabbed my bag of popcorn and soda, and I was already in a better mood. It truly makes the movie watching experience feel so magical!

The screening opened with a full on gospel choir which helped hype up the audience and set the tone for the film.

We then heard from Jordan Peele and Daniel Kaluuya, and the directors of the film, Adamma and Adanne Ebo. Then, the whole cast came out! Because I was way up in the balcony, these were the best photos I could get with my phone - sorry they are not the best quality!

We then screened the movie, and I really enjoyed it! There were parts that felt a bit slow, but the film is done in a satirical mockumentary style which was really fun to watch. Sterling K. Brown and Regina Hall’s performances were phenomenal and I loved the way they played their characters.

I am so excited for you to see this film! Be sure to catch Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul. in theaters and streaming on Peacock TV beginning 9/2!
