We’ve finally come to the final blog post of our Houston trip, and here I am still wishing we had more time to explore the city! We spent our last day with our friend Justin, who we met through Instagram and the Disney community a few years ago!

Kevin and I both wanted to get some good old Texas barbecue before we left Houston, and Truth BBQ did not disappoint! Justin had been wanting to try this place too, so it was a win-win for everyone! We arrived to the spot about 40 minutes before opening, and luckily were the second group in line. By the time the restaurant opened, the line was super long and must’ve been about a half hour wait (if not, more) by that point!

We ordered a little bit of everything to share, and the three of us were ready to get rolled out of the place by the end of it. I’m not a huge brisket person, so my usual go-to — the jalapeño cheddar sausage — satisfied my cravings. Their mac and cheese and corn pudding are also must-try side dishes!

Afterward, Justin showed us around the Museum of Fine Arts area where we got a killer view of the entire city (and we even got to FaceTime really quick with his wife Meg who unfortunately wasn’t able to join us due to work commitments). Although it was a quick meet up, I’m so grateful for the time we got to spend together and catch up. We’re already looking forward to the next time we can all see each other again!
