The Six Tips You Need to Know for Visiting the Real Up House in Salt Lake City, UT

You will always be my greatest adventure! Another must do in Salt Lake City is to visit the real-life Up house! It’s located in Herriman (13218 S Herriman Rose Blvd, Herriman, UT 84096) which is about 30 min from the city. We got to meet the owner, Lynette, who was super sweet and you can tell how much love she and her family put into their home!

Make sure to bookmark this post for my six quick tips when visiting the Up house:

1. Please remember this is a private residence! Be respectful and abide to all rules posted on their front gate.

2. You can take photos for free if you are quick (less than 3 minutes)! If you are planning to take photos for a special occasion, dressing up in any Up-inspired outfits/costumes, bringing any props, or taking photos for business or marketing use, you will need to book a photoshoot.

3. There are indoor and outdoor photoshoot options available! We opted for the 20 minute outdoor photoshoot ($60) which allowed us use of the porch area and uninterrupted time with the outside of the house. The inside of the house is also modeled after Carl’s home and is available for an indoor and outdoor photoshoot combo for $400.

4. You will need to bring your own photographer, or you can bring a tripod like we did! Please note, no video filming is allowed. Given that it is a short time frame, I recommend being as prepared as possible so that you don’t waste any time.

5. There was surprisingly enough time to be able to squeeze in one quick outfit change! I set an alarm for halfway through our session, ran to the car, changed quickly, and then ran back to the house. Kev used that time to take some exterior shots of the house and set up our tripod for our next photos.

6. Parking is across the street at the local park. It is not directly in front, so note it’s a quick 1-2 minute walk from the house (especially if you are planning to do an outfit change).
