Ahh, the art of starting over. Something about the opportunity to re-invent myself is always so appealing. I’m about to begin a new chapter in my life soon, so a revamp to my blog and content seemed like perfect timing.
Maybe you’ve been following me for a while, or maybe you’re new here. Either way, I thought it would be beneficial to re-introduce myself.
Hi, my name is Keshia. I’ve been a digital content creator for over five years now, and sharing my creativity and outfits with the world is something I’m super passionate about. I got my start in the Disney niche, growing my following from putting together Disneybounds and Disney style outfits. It later evolved into general pop culture-inspired style, with a specific focus on theme parks.
My journey over the last few years has been a bit of a rollercoaster, as I decided to quit my stable office job back in November 2019 to pursue content creation full-time. Unfortunately, with COVID-19 vastly changing the world as we know it, it was not something I could sustain financially. I decided to go back to my old job in June 2020 part-time, and with big new life changes on the horizon, I recently made the decision to juggle content creation alongside working full-time again.
But let’s get back to the real reason why we’re here. Fashion is something I’ve been interested in for as long as I can remember. It was a fun way for me to express myself, especially because I’m a pretty shy person. I take a lot of inspiration from past decades, with the 80s to early 00s being my favorites. Lately, I’ve been trying my hand at pattern mixing, and I’ve loved playing with different prints and adding a new dimension to my outfits!
I also love to thrift and buy secondhand - I don’t know about you, but I dream up the stories and histories of each of the pieces I source for my closet. It’s always rewarding to be able to breathe new life into a piece that was once loved by someone else, and to do something that is sustainable for our planet? I call that a win-win.
Most of my blog posts will mainly focus on the outfit, but sometimes you may get some rambling like this in between. Either way, I’m excited to take you along on this next chapter and hope you’ll stick around for the ride!
xo,
Keshia
