Never Have I Ever Season 4 Premiere
Never have I ever been more happy to be at the premiere for Never Have I Ever Season 4!
Last year, after waiting hours in the sun, I was lucky to score a seat in the fan section of the Season 3 premiere, and I told myself that somehow I would make it to the Season 4 premiere as an invited guest. I’m still pinching myself because manifestation is real and I can’t believe I finally got to meet the cast of one of my all-time favorite shows!
I’m so glad my girl Ann was able to attend with me! We had a little mix up with our tickets so we were a little bummed to have missed all the red carpet arrivals, but thankfully we made it into the theatre just in time for the screening.
We ran into Kelli Erdmann in the lobby while we grabbed our water and popcorn - she was so sweet and her dance videos helped get me through the beginning of the pandemic.
After a quick hello and welcome from the cast, we got to screen the first two episodes of the new season. It feels super bittersweet because I am so excited for this new season but also sad that it’s their last one! I wish I had more shows like this when I was younger, but I’m grateful that we have it now and that so many people will be able to see themselves in this beautiful and diverse cast!
We left halfway through the second episode in hopes that maybe we’d get to snap a quick photo on the red carpet before it got crowded. While we unfortunately could not get access, we did manage to catch the gorgeous Richa Moorjani on her way to the after party.
Even though we missed the red carpet arrivals, we got to attend the official after party which was so much fun! We first ran into Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (who plays Devi on the show). She was so chill and it felt like we were talking to a friend.
We also bumped into Ramona Young (who plays Eleanor) and I got to thank her for representing us East Asian gals! She also looked so gorgeous in her shimmery dress.
I have a huge crush on Darren Barnet (who plays Paxton) and I still can’t believe I got to chat with him for a bit (and that I managed to say more than two words to him). He couldn’t have been any nicer and I’m still blushing!
I also grabbed quick photos with Lee Rodriguez (who plays Fabiola) and Jaren Lewison (who plays Ben) - they both looked so fab!
It was such a nice surprise running into Cheyenne Isabel Wells who plays Olivia in one of my new favorite shows, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. She’s also been in a few past productions with For the Record Live and her voice is amazing!
We got to meet Michael Cimino who plays new heartthrob Ethan in this upcoming season. I can’t wait to learn more about his character!
And last but not least, it was an honor getting to meet Poorna Jagannathan (who plays Nalini). I loved her energy and vibe and she could not have been any kinder!
To be able to have the opportunity to tell the cast how much the Asian representation in this show has meant to me is something I will never take for granted. Huge thank you to Netflix for having me and to the entire cast for being so gracious with their time - last night was a dream come true! Be sure to stream Season 4 of Never Have I Ever on Netflix starting 6/8!
