"Mystic Pizza" on Stage - World Premiere | La Mirada Theatre

It’s love at first slice! La Mirada Theatre invited me, Melissa, and Aimee to check out the world premiere of “Mystic Pizza” on stage and I had the best girls’ night with my theatre besties! We had so much fun and I loved this sweet show about friendship. Don’t miss your chance to see this beloved film come to life on stage!
About the show: Based on the classic 1988 Julia Roberts rom-com, “Mystic Pizza” is a new musical about three working-class girls who navigate the complexities of life, love and family in a small-town pizza joint. The infectious score features mega-hits of the 80s and 90s, from “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” and “Addicted to Love,” to “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now,” “Take My Breath Away,” and many more!
Ticket prices start at $19, and the show is playing Thursdays through Sundays at the La Mirada Theatre (14900 La Mirada Blvd, La Mirada, CA 90638) now until 2/11. The performance length is 2 hours and 20 minutes, including one 15 minute intermission. Please note this show is recommended for ages 12+ due to some adult language, themes, and situations.
Parking is free at the La Mirada Theatre lot (best availability is in front of Albertsons or Wells Fargo). I recommend getting to the theatre at least 30 to 45 minutes before showtime!
Gianna Yanelli, Krystina Alabado, and Kyra Kennedy were a delightful trio to watch on stage and we loved dressing up as their characters!
What a treat that we got to meet Annabeth Gish (who played Kat in the original movie) after the show! I was wondering why she looked so familiar to me, and realized later that she played Dr. Anne Sullivan in Pretty Little Liars!
It was also a fun surprise to find out one of my faves Michael Thomas Grant was in the cast - I enjoyed seeing him shine in this new role!
We also loved meeting Michael James Brown and Rachel Wirtz who made us smile throughout the show!
