Five API Artists You Need to Add to Your Music Playlist | Gold House

Music is such a big part of my life and while I tend to gravitate towards my comfort artists (Hi Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, and 90s/00s music!), I’ve made it a point to start expanding my musical horizons. I’ve been super inspired by Gold House and the amazing API artists they have been supporting, and I wanted to share five of my favorites that I started listening to through them!

Rhea Raj
Song recommendations: “Devil in a Dress,” “Venom,” and “Lights Out”

If you’re a fan of Britney Spears’s music, you’ll definitely love Rhea Raj - her sound is very Y2K inspired and every song makes you want to dance! She just released her debut album “HUNTER” which is out on streaming platforms now!

Alex Porat
Song recommendations: “Bubblegum,” “Sensitive,” and “Kiss Face”

Alex Porat’s sweet voice was enough to get me hooked on her music, but listen to her songs and you’ll find that they are extremely catchy with an unexpected punch!

Towa Bird
Song recommendations: “Boomerang,” “Sorry Sorry,” and “Wild Heart”

Towa Bird’s music feels so nostalgic to me in the best way - it brought me back to the alternative/rock music I loved listening to in high school and college. Mark your calendars because her debut album “American Hero” comes out on 6/28! Fun fact: Olivia Rodrigo discovered Towa on TikTok and you may have seen her in the “Driving Home 2 U” documentary on Disney+!

Emei
Song recommendations: “That Girl,” “711,” and “Trust Issues”

Emei reminds me a lot of Olivia Rodrigo with her fun alternative pop/rock sound, so it’s no surprise that I immediately fell in love with her music! Her voice is also so ethereal and she sounds like an angel!

Paravi
Song recommendations: “Stargirl,” “Skeleton,” and “Angry”

Paravi has a beautiful sultry voice that is so full of emotion with every lyric she sings! I was very moved by her music, and I love when I not only enjoy what I’m listening to, but when I’m able to feel something too.

Have you listened to any of these artists before or did you discover someone new? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
