Everything You Need to Know About the 60th Anniversary of the Studio Tour at Universal Studios Hollywood!
Happy 60th anniversary to the Universal Studios World Famous Studio Tour! The Studio Tour is hands down my favorite attraction at the park, and as someone who has been on it so many times throughout the years, it was fun getting to experience it in a brand new way for its 60th anniversary! As a huge pop culture fan, I always get so giddy being on a studio lot and seeing where the magic is made! In this post, I’ll be sharing everything you won’t want to miss during the celebration.
For the Studio Tour’s 60th anniversary, Universal Studios Hollywood has brought back several of the iconic red and white candy-striped Glamor Trams, which are the cutest!
One of the coolest parts of the celebration is that you’ll get the rare opportunity to step off the tram and onto the Psycho movie set where an original, fully restored 1964 vintage Glamor Tram awaits. You might even encounter Norman Bates himself!
The area also has additional photo ops, including a giant King Kong backdrop and the theme park’s original hanging Jaws shark.
To add to the celebrations, the Studio Tour’s 60th anniversary just expanded with a dynamic tribute featuring all-new photo ops and prop displays within Universal Plaza, now through 8/11!
A special Dining Pass celebrating the 60th anniversary will be available for purchase and will allow guests to choose six eligible menu items: a choice of two entrees, plus a choice of four snacks, sides, desserts or beverages at participating restaurants or food carts. Select in-park venues and food carts are excluded, and the Dining Pass is valid only on the day of purchase.
You can’t forget about the merch! Make sure to check out items such as the popcorn bucket shaped as a Glamor Tram, a Glamor Tram themed pillow, blanket, backpack, jacket, and more!
