Attending the Very First Pod Meets World Live Show
I feel like I may be the only person on the planet who is not super into podcasts, but when I heard that Danielle Fishel, Will Freidle, and Rider Strong were coming out with “Pod Meets World,” I was instantly sold because “Boy Meets World” is one of my favorite TV shows of all time!
Week after week, I would look forward to listening to the interviews, recaps, and anecdotes that they all shared on every episode, and when they mentioned they were doing a live show, I immediately bought tickets for me and Kev!
The show was held in El Cajon at The Magnolia and I thought the limited edition poster they were selling would look great in our breakfast nook area at home, so I grabbed one as a souvenir. I love that it was also signed by Danielle, Will, and Rider!
The show opened with Rider reading a poem he wrote which was a huge hit with the crowd. Then Danielle and Will joined him on stage and it was so great seeing them right there in front of me! The nostalgia definitely hit in the best way possible.
The cast performed a skit with a “Cory” we picked out of the audience, and we were all surprised when Trina McGee walked out as the special guest of the evening!
Afterwards, the cast picked out a couple of super fans from the audience and did a trivia session with Plays With Squirrels.
We then did a Q&A with Rider, Trina, Danielle, and Will and it was great to hear from them on what they would be doing as a career if they weren’t actors, what they learned from their mentors, and more.
They ended the show in the sweetest way possible with a video message from Bill Daniels (aka Mr. Feeny)!
We then got to meet the cast afterward with our VIP tickets! Everyone was incredibly nice and I was so grateful for the opportunity to thank all of them for being such a huge part of my childhood.
