Attending the "Slumberland" Premiere + Meeting Jason Momoa | Netflix

One of the most common questions I get asked is, “How do you get to attend all of these cool movie premieres?” Sometimes, it’s just pure luck, like in this case with Netflix’s Slumberland premiere! I’ve been using 1iota for over ten years now, and it’s one of my go-to’s when it comes to attending celebrity events around LA.

If you’ve never used 1iota before, it’s free to the public to sign up, and you can request tickets for your favorite TV shows, movies, and concerts! The only caveat is it’s all based on a lottery system, so they’ll contact you if they’re able to accommodate your request. If you’re fortunate enough to score tickets, just know that they do tend to overbook these events, so it’s best to try to get there as early as possible to ensure your spot!

I was one of the first ten people in line, and I was able to score an amazing spot on the red carpet for the Slumberland premiere, which stars Jason Momoa and Marlow Barkley!

It was so fun watching the red carpet arrivals, and the first two people I got to meet were Tia Carrere and Auli’i Cravalho! It was great getting to see Auli’i again (I met her for the first time back at D23 Expo 2019)!

There was a bit of a lull in the arrivals, and then the excitement was buzzing as soon as Jason Momoa made his grand entrance!

I also got the opportunity to meet Todd Grinnell and India de Beaufort, which made my heart so happy because I loved them both on One Day at a Time. I still wish they would bring the show back, because it was one of my favorites! Fun fact: they played a couple on the show, but they are also husband and wife in real-life!

I also got to meet Francis Lawrence (the director of Slumberland) and the star herself, Marlow Barkley!

Then, the biggest highlight of the evening was getting to meet Jason Momoa! He is super charismatic and the only person I know who can pull off rocking a pair of pajamas on the red carpet.

Last but not least, I also got a quick photo with Cliff Curtis! Can’t wait to see him in the upcoming film, Avatar: The Way of Water.

Due to capacity restrictions, we were not able to screen the movie this evening, but I can’t wait to see it once it streams on Netflix on 11/18! Huge thank you to 1iota for allowing me to attend the premiere!
