2023 Music Futures Showcase | Gold House

I had so much fun last night at Gold House x AEG’s music futures showcase at the El Rey Theatre with my friend Felicia!

I am always looking for great new music to listen to, and the three artists we saw last night are definitely the next big things! It was such a joy to watch Rhea Raj, Alex Porat, and Mad Tsai perform their sets (I am now obsessed with all of them!) and celebrate their API identities with us.

Rhea Raj
Rhea reminded me a lot of Britney Spears and her music is so fun to dance to! She also did an amazing cover of “Oops… I Did It Again” and I already have it on repeat!

Alex Porat
I loved Alex’s singer-songwriter vibes and sweet voice. She has such a great stage presence and I’m excited to check out more of her music - I have a feeling I’m going to vibe with it!

Mad Tsai
Mad just graduated from UCLA (go Bruins!) and I’m super impressed with how he balanced his music career while finishing school! I loved his catchy songs and how he’s paving the way for queer API artists in the industry.

I loved getting to meet all three artists after the show - they were all so sweet!
