Can we rewind back to the start of the weekend? Kevin and I enjoyed a nice little staycation at the Marina Del Rey Hotel this past weekend, and I can’t believe we’re already back home.

We arrived a bit early and were able to check in at 3pm. We were on the first floor and our room had a view of the marina (which was gorgeous!) but I was a little nervous when the manager told us that a wedding was happening that night right outside our window. I’m not sure how the noise level was because we ended up being out for a good chunk of the evening and when we came back to our room, the wedding reception had already been cleared out, but I appreciated that the manager gave us a heads up ahead of time so we weren’t caught off guard.

This bed was heavenly. It was so soft and comfy, and while I’m not that picky about my sheets, I have to say, these felt luxuriously different. I had such a great night’s sleep and I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud.

The room also came with a small desk and a TV which is great when you need a work station or some entertainment while you relax in your room.

The bathroom was really nice, but felt small space-wise. The door took up a ton of space and was difficult to close without cramming myself into a corner. Other than that, the shower water pressure was great (yes, that matters to me!) and I loved the towels which were just as soft as the sheets!

After settling into our room, we walked around the property a bit and the pool area was the cutest! The striped fabric throughout the furniture and decor gave it a fun, vintage vibe.

Next to the pool, we walked through the hotel’s signature restaurant, SALT. They had recently replaced all the furniture throughout the pool and restaurant, and I was obsessed. We had a busy weekend ahead, and I wish we had just a little more time to experience all of the amenities and eat at SALT, but it’s just another reason for us to come back for another staycation!

It was cool getting to see all the yachts lined up in the marina right outside our room.

The staff was super hospitable and kind, and made our stay wonderful. Be sure to check it out the next time you’re in LA - you can make your reservation here!

Huge thank you again to Marina Del Rey Hotel for hosting us, we can’t wait to be back again soon!
