The Bikeriders Los Angeles Premiere | Focus Features
Kevin and I got to attend the premiere of “The Bikeriders” last night, and this movie is not for the faint of heart! I thought the story’s approach was unique as the film was portrayed more like an anthropological deep dive into the Vandals, and I loved learning about the dynamics within motorcycle club culture. The lead stars Tom Hardy, Austin Butler, and Jodie Comer all gave phenomenal performances and were each captivating in their own ways!
We arrived to the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre about an hour before the screening was supposed to start. While we weren’t allowed to be on the carpet, it was already bustling by the time we got there.
It’s always so exciting to be around the buzz on the night of a movie premiere!
I ran into Maiara Walsh (who I loved on Disney Channel’s “Cory in the House” back in the day!) and Taika Waititi shortly after we got to the lobby area.
I also got to snap some quick photos with Jason Momoa and Cher! I can’t believe they were both there, and I’m still starstruck over it all.
About the film: “The Bikeriders” captures a rebellious time in America when the culture and people were changing. After a chance encounter at a local bar, strong-willed Kathy (Jodie Comer) is inextricably drawn to Benny (Austin Butler), the newest member of Midwestern motorcycle club, the Vandals led by the enigmatic Johnny (Tom Hardy). Much like the country around it, the club begins to evolve, transforming from a gathering place for local outsiders into a dangerous underworld of violence, forcing Benny to choose between Kathy and his loyalty to the club.
Huge thank you to Focus Features for having us! Be sure to watch “The Bikeriders” only in theatres starting 6/21!
