Attending the "Barbie the Movie" World Premiere
How is this real life?! We had the best time hanging out in Barbie Land at the world premiere of Barbie the Movie today and it was everything I could’ve imagined it to be and more!
Kevin and I lined up a few hours before the pink carpet started and to be completely honest, I was a little nervous if we were going to make it inside! We got our free tickets through 1iota and they usually overbook events so admittance is first come, first served. Thankfully we made the cut and once inside, we were taken to some bleachers which overlooked the pink carpet behind the regular press/media photographers!
I was so excited when I saw Chris Olsen! He’s one of my favorite content creators and always puts a smile on my face when I see his videos. We also saw Patrick Starrr who looked fabulous!
I loved Karrueche’s outfit and the bright pop of yellow! She looked absolutely stunning.
Then Scott Evans (who plays one of the Kens in the movie) arrived and was so dapper in his pink suit!
I was so excited to see Flo and Jamie from Progressive on the pink carpet! Trixie Mattel also made an appearance and I loved her 80s inspired dress!
Loved seeing Greta Gerwig, who wrote and directed the film!
One of my favorite looks from the night was Alexandra Shipp’s who plays one of the Barbies in the film!

Mario Lopez brought two of his kiddos to the premiere!
Haim and Ava Max both provided songs on the Barbie soundtrack!
I loved Kate McKinnon’s performance as Weird Barbie in the movie!
I passed by Michael Cera after the movie screening and he smiled at me!
More Barbies on the pink carpet! Issa Rae plays President Barbie and Dua Lipa plays Mermaid Barbie. Also does anyone else have “Dance the Night” from the soundtrack on repeat like I do?
Always love seeing Xochitl Gomez at events (she is the sweetest!) and also got to see Metta World Peace!
America Ferrera is always so beautiful (I’ve been a fan since Gotta Kick It Up! on Disney Channel!) and she plays Gloria in the movie.
Ryan Gosling has arrived! He plays Ken in the movie and his performance made me so happy!
Also spotted Skai Jackson and Rob Gronkowski on the carpet!
Simu Liu is my Ken! Loved seeing some AAPI representation in the movie!
Finneas and Billie Eilish produced and wrote the song “What Was I Made For?” on the soundtrack! I would say this is one of the standout songs from the record! I also completely lost it when I saw that Margot Robbie had arrived!
I have loved seeing all of Margot’s Barbie outfit recreations throughout the press junket tour for this movie and couldn’t wait to see what she was wearing for this premiere. This one was inspired by Solo in the Spotlight Barbie!
The main cast is all here now!
We also saw Laura Dern and Gal Gadot who both looked amazing!
Ming-Na Wen looked so beautiful! I’m a huge fan of hers, especially because she voices my favorite Disney princess, Mulan!
So excited seeing Nicki Minaj! I immediately sent photos to my friend Dom who is one of her biggest fans!
Now it’s time to head inside the theatre!
Ran into David Dobrik and my friend Jenny in the lobby!
Had to get a full OOTD shot of my outfit - I’m obsessed with this Sachin & Babi dress I rented from Rent the Runway!
Then Greta Gerwig introduced the film and brought out the entire cast on stage!
We ran into Simu Liu after the screening and he was so sweet to take a quick photo with us in all the chaos!
We ended the evening chatting with Michael and Carissa Alvarado who truly got us through the beginning of the pandemic with their livestreams on Twitch. They were both so kind and we loved getting to meet them!
I am so excited for you to see the film so we can obsess over it together! Catch Barbie the Movie in theatres starting 7/21!
